Volvo Ocean Race Coming to Boston
From April 27th through May 16th, Boston will host the eight boats competing in the Volvo Ocean Race, one of the most demanding team challenges in the world. In October, eight boats set sail from Alicante, Spain en route to St. Petersburg, Russia, on a course that will take them to ten ports, five continents and across a total of 37,000nm through some of the most challenging waters in the world. Boston is the only stopover in North America, and the only chance to see these world-class racers in action. |
While they're in town, the boats will be berthed at the newly constructed Fan Pier. For a complete list of events, including In-Port racing and more, visit their website.
Get even closer to the action by attending the BSC's Leg 7 Re-Start party on May 16th, or volunteer and be part of the action. The organizers are looking for volunteers to help with all facets of the event. Fill out this form for more information. |
